What It Is
The Regalia Boutique is a small regalia-hiring agency for the staff (and their families) of the University of Auckland.
It does not cater for students.
What It Stocks
It stocks Auckland regalia mainly, but can also supply customers with non-Auckland items which it hires-in from other New Zealand university centres through the New Zealand Federation of Graduate Women’s network.
Regalia Boutique specializes in doctoral sets – especially those from the older UK universities and it often has items especially made for its customers.
Its Location
It is located on the main city campus in a very small workroom/storeroom at the back of Old Government House in the area known as the kitchen annexe.
Its Operating Schedule
Although most of its business is concentrated on the Autumn and Spring Graduations, Regalia Boutique is only closed when the university is closed. For the rest of the year, it accepts orders whenever customers require regalia.
In non-graduation periods, the workroom is open to visitors or casual clients, one afternoon per week.

To place an order, no special form is necessary - but details of date, quantity, size, and type of regalia are necessary.
Costs and Payments
Costs will vary according to the size of the order. Payments for individual orders should be made at the time the order is collected.
